Alongside work on show at Naked Eye Gallery in Hove I have recently produced a new body of work for Brighton Festival where I'll be showing at 14 Vallance Gardens, Hove, as part of the Open Houses exhibition for May 2009.  Last year's work exploring the myth of Icarus allowed me to push the drawing process in a more abstracted way, which in turn lead me to investigate the idea of journey, references to maps and city architecture appearing through the gestural marks. Concentrating on my local environment, the architectural references became more pronounced resulting in the 'Sillwood' series displayed in Gallery 2.
